The Top 5 Men’s Bronzers

Summer is now over, but not everyone has that lasting Jersey Shore or “I spent my summer on a golf course” style tan. Luckily, you can make it seem like you’ve been hitting the links with a bit of bronzer, and now they’re making bronzer especially for men. Here are a few of the best men’s bronzers on the market.

Kiehl’s Facial Fuel – Healthy Bronze ($22.50) I love Kiehl’s, and their bronzer doesn’t disappoint. It offers a gradual change in skin tone and colour, without turning you bright freaking orange. The tan is natural and very easy to control – the ingredient that causes the colour is pretty low, so it can be subtle. You still have to wash your hands after every use, unless you want to give your palms a nice glow. Non-greasy and offers a moisturizing effect as well.

Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Powder for Men ($47) A bronzing powder, as opposed to a cream, this product comes in a very snazzy packaging. Applied with a soft brush, the format makes it really easy to control how dark you want to go, and you don’t have to worry about washing it off your hands. It leaves a nice matte finish, but you will have to reapply it after hitting the pool.

Clinique Non-Streak Bronzer for Men ($15) An oil-free gel, this one is waterproof, so you don’t have to worry about washing it off in the shower. It also offers a natural look, without looking completely sun baked. Because it’s a little more affordable that the other offerings, this product is a good starting block for men just entering the world of bronzer.

KenMen Koko-Mojo Bronzer ($30) Advertised as a shimmery, tinted moisturizer, this product will give you a healthy glow, and a perfect Brazilian tan. However, it might be a little intimidating for those starting out. Fear not! I can promise you it won’t leave you shimmering like one of those “new” vampires…though that would probably net you some attention from fans. The shimmer will just brighten up your skin in a very healthy, manly way. Sorry, Twilight fans.

California North Titanium Self Tanner ($27) Want to get started in bronzer, but not sure how your girlfriend will feel about it? This product is formulated so that either men or women can use it, so why not get it as a gift to share? Earn some brownie points, and get a rockin’ tan! It comes with SPF 7 sunscreen and moisturizing properties, so while you might want to get a little more protection from the rays, this offers a good base.

Now, you’ll notice I haven’t rated these products. These are just a few of the great bronzers out there, and like all skin care, you’ll have to find the best one for your skin type. What might look great on one man might make your skin react in different ways. So be adventurous and check them out!
